The use of swing here is odd. It almost doesn't work. Almost. Its strangely mysterious, and I dig it quite a bit. The drums are quite nice. The tones are pleasing and they manage to not blare (except for at the very end) given the EQ thats been used here. It's overall muddy but that's by design. Overall, I think its great.

P.s. i cant type right now.

BOULLIE responds:

Glad you stopped by to dig the vibe.

Thank you for the review.

Like I said.....

One the THE most underrated producers on the portal. This is so the shit it went to the other side and became food again.

haha good one

word.

This stomps well. Vocal samples are fine. Melody and arrangement are tight. Its just long enough and the song is mastered well. I like it quite a bit.

eppskevin responds:

Thanks, Dureagon! Yeah, I have really been trying to take time and study the science behind mastering, which is I know is a constant process. I appreciate the love on this track. It was just something that just came to existence out of nowhere, you know? So, I'm really glad that I did it right.

wow great!

I really like this. Its quirky and cool at the same time. The bass really works here. Its really great for a mc to spit to, and its just the right length. Good job.

Wow, thanks DJD! Glad you liked it! I definitely had fun working on it. I think I'm getting the basics down, now I just need to start learning some new tricks. Thanks for the review dude!

This is a snare i can get behind. The melody at times is abrasive. Some of the organ parts go on for too long without anything to change it up. The wind sound there isnt half bad, but the melody is a bit monotonous. This already sounds beefier than that last one though.

eminstine responds:

Thanks again.

The drums aren't bad. The snare could use just a bit of tuning. Maybe, with some EQ the snare could be brighter and have more presence. As for the melody, there are parts where it approaches a jazz feel. These are the parts which are most successful. The rest is kind of atonal and odd, and while theres nothing wrong with that, certain parts dont fit well. For example some of the bell sounds in the beginning and the louder organ parts. The bassline also could use a different sound. EQ here could also make it sound more beefy. You should experament with different instruments and effects to get rid of that stock feeling. Add a little something extra with each track you make. Thats my advice.

eminstine responds:

Thank you dude. Will do !

The drums are a bit subdued. Other than that i like the work. The synthy sounds compliment the melody just right and its just long enough to be short and sweet.

bobiscoo32 responds:

Thanks man, always appreciate a review from you :). I do agree with you on the matter of the drums and ill most likely edit those to hit a little harder. thanks again for the review, you're the man :)

Once again Shaggy shows us all why hes the best there is on this site. Wonderful piece.

shaggyhaired responds:

I haven't been active around here at all so I thought you guys needed a refresher!
Most of my newer stuff is on my bandcamp and soundcloud.

I see what you did there. I appreciate a good flip and this one has nice production as usual from you. It has room for some sinister undertones but i think that would be hard to impliment. I like it.

B-RadGfromOV responds:

Thanks DJD!

crrrazy sounds. and those drums are squashy lovely stuff. I like the style quite a bit. Even the scratches i can tolerate in this. I liek it when the rumbling bass comes in the right places. Loops perfectly. Nice job.
