What i like is the concept of the song. Those synths are quite nice. The hornish synths can be abrasive at times and just sount tooo... sharp? i guess. Buuuuuut. I like it in an odd way.

Zodiax responds:

My same sentiments :D

Thanks for the review

Always great to hear your stuff. I love the ambiance you always add to yoru tracks. It gives them great depth. Short but sweet and always enjoyable.

PoyzenJam responds:

Thanks DJD. You da man!!!!!!!!!

Nice remix. I like the bass quite a bit. The drums fit in just right the melody with the synth work well. It's not my full cup of tea but i cant deny the technique

Crueltool responds:

This just how i see his project. Made nice i think, but something is missing.... Thanks dude!!!

I respect that

good sample work. Simple but effective beat. Its what hip hop is lal about. I ve been returning to my roots lately. And so this is a real great example of a style i try to emulate. Keep up the good work.

Crueltool responds:

Thanks man! Love this style. lovin cut and re-temp some melody samples. Hope it's useable

hey those drums are great.

I like how they dont have much presence. Its a technique i am experimenting with.

bobiscoo32 responds:

bobiscoo32 responds:

thank you alot dureagon :D and i did kind of rush the cutting of the sample on this one so its not the cleanest track but i still like it. thanks for reviewing

snippet. Its reaaaal good htough. Built for lyrics.

bobiscoo32 responds:

thank you so man! I didnt want it too get repetitive so i cut it a bit short. youre the man, thanks for reviewing

Why cut the bass out?

I quite like it a lot. I was groovin to the section 1:45-1:58 where the bass came though more. I wish it was more present throughout the song. Even if in smaller sections. I like the concept of the track. The drums are.... different. Well not really. I would have used different ones. But, thats liek saying i would have made a different song. They oddly work. The ending is unique and i think it works well.

ThaKidd responds:

Hey DJ, (btw I downloaded a few of your instrumentals soooo respect)
Well first things first, I actually didn't put any bass in it. At all. So that's why the bass sounds cut out. It was a last decision, and I have done this beat over so many times, its kinda bouncing around in my head if I should do something else with it. And I agree with you about the drums. I listened to this beat so many times, I had changed my opinion about it too. Nevertheless, I still have a long way to go in my decision making...

Thanks for the review though!

Everyone touches this beat.

and for good reason. This is one of the better spits on it. I like you flow here its outside of your zone slightly. You really show how diverse you can be when it come to your flow, but you dont deviate from your style. You very rarely jarble words. but with a couple recordings itll all be ironed out. Great stuff.

HeIsAlive responds:

Thanks for the review bud :D
Yep, its all still a working progress.

smoooth

pimp jam. I respect your sample choices although you have sabotaged my own efforts int he past. Short and sweet. The drums fit perfectly and sound great. Filtering techniques are on point. Nice production too. Pretty good.

bobiscoo32 responds:
