[RetVox - Lucid Dream]

I'm going to be honest.

The lyrics are old school and theres nothign wrong with that. It's got a decent flow. The record quality is good. There is some unevenness witht he levels in there and some of the effects are a bit off but its solid. What got me is the hook. Its great. Now whenever i hear this your hook pops into my head. Its my preferred way of envisioning the song and that means a lot. Good work.

Unfreaking believable! This track needs to be put on the radio. It needs to be a hit. I needs some kind of exposier to the masses. The bar has been raised to a very high place folks. It just got harder to impress.

Its got that Kenye Common Vibe to it. With a sprinkle of Dilla. Really nothing bad to point out. Id say its on par with your better stuff. Good one.

While the other one was great. I think this one has a nice bounce to it and feels mor elike a unified work. Great job.

I can't even tell you how glad I am that you pointed out the drums. There was just too much going on with the break and it didn't really meld with the horns.

Its an abstract type of beat for sure. Needless to say the horns are cool. That beat is dope right there. I like the breaks in there. and where the horns chnage up they almost reach greatness. I find the samples too somber to go with the beat if there was another small element to compliment the melody i think the drums would fit better.

I totally agree, the break is a little too energetic for the horns. When i revisit this one, I'll probably switch up the drums with something a little more lounge/ chill. When I started this, I was actually using another part of the song, but when I heard the sample, I basically shit myself, lol.

You got mad flow bro, you did the beat justice I love it. I like the additions you added in the start of the song. Very appropriate. The lyrics themselves are thought provoking and clever. The videogame references made me grin and i really like how you related the references to the theme of the song. How can i not give a 10. Great work.

For the first verse i was talking about being young, doing drugs, being invincable. then second was like the ups and downs in life, trying to get back to that happy place in your life the right way.
